Browser Mate is an extension that interprets requests and performs actions on the page you are on. It uses your own AI key or a local model, with no Browser Mate AI server in the middle.

First use

1. Open the Browser Mate side panel on a normal web page.
2. Read the consent request for page access and decide whether to allow it.
3. Open Settings → LLM Model and configure the provider, then save.
4. Review Settings → Security before automating actions with consequences.
5. Start with a simple request, such as “Summarize this page without performing actions”.

These instructions match the 0.8.4 runtime of the repository. Model availability and prices are defined by the providers, not by this documentation.
